A 3-hour workshop on shooting, processing, scanning, and printing real film.
People ask me why I still shoot film... There's a lot of reasons, but first and foremost because of the process. It feels more like a craft to me. I'm making my creative decisions before making the image, not afterwards in the computer editing software. In this workshop we'll explore different film cameras and their settings, format choice from 35mm to medium format and 4x5, black and white film processing and printing, film scanning, and inkjet printing. I will share my hybrid analog/digital workflow that allows me to shoot, process, scan, and print my fine art black > white photographs in my small studio.
3-hour group workshop: $65 per student
